“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes so he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. (2 Ki 6:16-17 NIV)
Prayer: LORD, when I face difficult circumstances and begin to feel overwhelmed or afraid, help me remember that there is much I do not know or see. You have everything under control; nothing takes You by surprise. Open my eyes to see what I am able to do. Help me trust You in the things I cannot see. Thank You for Your unconditional love that is always there, even when I do not feel it or see it. Lord, open my eyes so I may see. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
