“Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker, to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?’ Does your work say, ‘He has no hands’? Woe to him who says to his father, ‘What have you begotten?’ or to his mother, ‘What have you brought to birth?’ (Isa 45:9-10 NIV)
Prayer: LORD, You welcome questions because this is how we learn. Even when I do not understand, please help me to ask respectfully and never with arrogance or condescension. I choose to trust that the circumstances You have allowed in my life are for my best–even if I cannot understand how it could be so right now. Help me accept what I do not understand because I trust You. When my faith falls short, make up the difference. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
