May the blessing of light be upon you, light on the outside and light on the inside. With God’s sunlight shining on you, may your heart glow with warmth like a turf fire that welcomes friends and strangers alike.

May the light of the Lord shine from your eyes like a candle in the window, welcoming the weary traveler.

May the blessing of God’s soft rain be on you, falling gently on your head, refreshing your soul with the sweetness of little flowers newly blooming.

May the strength of the winds of Heaven bless you, carrying the rain to wash your spirit clean, sparkling after, in the sunlight.

May the blessing of God’s earth be on you and as you walk the roads, may you always have a kind word for those you meet.

May you understand the strength and power of God in a thunderstorm in winter, the quiet beauty of creation and the calm of a summer sunset.

And may you come to realize that insignificant as you may seem in this great universe, you are an important part of God’s plan.

May He watch over you and keep you safe from harm.

Sounds wonderful; wish it were that way for me. Been a Christian since 1974 and never experienced any of that. Guess it’s just part of a life-long trial or something. Probably haven’t given up everything God wants out of my life (flesh is weak, no matter how long you’ve been saved.) Some of these messages are helpful, this one I guess is for someone else.

@Gary. There is a sentence in the blessing which speaks to what you feel, “And may you come to realize that insignificant as you may seem in this great universe, you are an important part of God’s plan”. Please know that you have made an impact on someone’s life knowingly or unknowingly. Someone told me once that even what is negative in our lives can cause another to seek to do and be better than what they see in you. Ultimately, it is for the greater good. If for nothing else, you can be thankful you are alive and a Christian still, 42 years down the line. God bless

This message/prayer brought tears to my eyes. It is busy month end time and I was tempted to brush past the email and read it later on but I am so glad I paused to read it. It changed my attitude from hot head, busy-get-the-job-done-quickly, maybe stressed etc. to soft and gentle again as I go along with my work. My real work which is to shine for Jesus.
