“Be still and know that I am God…” Psalm 46:10

There is a time and place in our walk with God in which He sets us in a place of waiting.

It is a place in which all past experiences are of no value. It is a time of such stillness that it can disturb the most faithful if we do not understand that He is the one who has brought us to this place for only a season.

It is as if God has placed a wall around us. No new opportunities—simply inactivity.

During these times, God is calling us aside to fashion something new in us. It is an isolation chamber designed to call us to deeper roots of prayer and faith.

It is not a comfortable place, especially for a task-driven workplace believer. Our nature cries out, “You must do something,” while God is saying, “Be still and know that I am God.”

You know the signs that you have been brought into this chamber when He has removed many things from your life and you can’t seem to change anything. Perhaps you are unemployed. Perhaps you are laid up with an illness.

Most religious people live a very planned and orchestrated life where they know almost everything that will happen. But for people in whom God is performing a deeper work, He brings them into a time of quietness that seems almost eerie. They cannot say what God is doing. They just know that He is doing a work that cannot be explained to themselves or to others.

Has God brought you to a place of being still?

Be still and know that He really is God.

When this happens, the chamber will open soon after.

Recently. God has shared with me on the verse, be still and know that He is God.

Thank God for the well written article, I was so blessed by it that I posted it on my home cell chat group to share with them…

Yet, as i was sharing with my group… I felt to write on to add that it is not just when we are laid off or sick than God want us to be still and know that He is God… of coursr that is been faithful to the context of Psalm 46… how despite been battered by life circumstances, we draw hope and strength as God’s word told us to… Be still and know that I am God.

It would please God that in our day to day living, He want us to be aware that He is there, He is God and He is for us and interested in our life… that not only in crossroad or crisis than we run to him for direction but He want us to know and be keenly aware, He is living in and through us… be still and know that the Lord of Lord is indeed living in us and He desires to teach and lead us to live a victorious, overcoming and fulfilling life… a life where we know, with men is impossible but with God all things is possible… so we align and position .. position ourselves to see the impossible made possible… that is why God said… be still and know that I am God… only we know that, can we be the instruments for Him to see impossible things in the sight of men being made possible through the working of God in our life as we come to Him, in stillness, in confidence, that He hears us and all things are possible to him who believe… so, be still and know that He is God… be His instruments of glory to bring His will and purpose on earth as it is in heaven.

We are his testimony on earth of what God can do when men said nothing can be done. Be still and know that He is God. When men said impossible, this is where our God comes to bring impossibility possible.

Doctor said I must operated out my thyroid gland when i delivered my daughter one month ago in 2000, because it had a high chance of being cancerous , but God said I can hold on and no need of operation. As such I hold on to the operation and breastfeed my baby girl for a nine months. A year later when God told me I have to go for operation, the hospital doctor said test run had shown my glands was just malfunction, I did not need any operation… i insisted in operating it… and the thyroid gland was found to be at early stage of cancer, an aggressive typ. Doctor surprised but I was not because God had forewarned me the gland had turned bad a month or two before the operation. I was in remission of thyroid cancer till now after 15 years.

In 2009 doctor said I had stage 4 lung cancer but God said he will take care of it, I go for CT scan again and again, but the nodules in all the 5 lopes of my two lungs were cursed and out if 8 nodules, 3 disappeared and 5 ceased growing altogether. Doctor dared not let down their guard as the nodules chances of reviving is high…they continued to prepared me and counseled me of the inavoidable outcome i have to face… he reminded me again and again, to be prepared in case any nodule decided to act up and I would need to operate out the lung lope affected as there is the best choice to make, I had no other option except that … but God is Almighty, the ultimate decision maker.had different plan … since 2009 till now, I only went for CT scan after CT scan to witness my God faithfulness and ultimate authority over things seen and unseen, the growth are cursed and remain cursed..

Through it all, God teach me one thing important that I only need to know… be still and know that He is God. He will take care of what I have more power in.

I give glory to God. Very humble by God’s grace and protection. I am alive today because God did what doctor could not. He made the impossible possible for me.
