As the chill of winter begins to fade away, the world around us begins to transform into a vibrant display of new life. The blossoming flowers, budding trees, and chirping birds all serve as a reminder of the beauty and renewal that comes with the arrival of spring. In the same way, the season of spring can be likened to the new life we find in Jesus Christ.

Just as the earth is rejuvenated by the warmth and light of the sun, our souls are rejuvenated by the love and grace of our Savior. Through His sacrifice on the cross, we are given the opportunity to start anew, leaving behind our old ways and embracing a life filled with hope, joy, and purpose.

One worship song beautifully captures this sentiment is “Behold (Then Sings My Soul)” by Hillsong Worship. The lyrics speak of the wonder and awe that comes with encountering the love of Jesus and the newness of life that comes from accepting Him into our hearts.

Behold the Father’s heartThe mystery He lavishes on usAs deep cries out to deepOh, how desperately He wants us

The things of earth stand next to HimLike a candle to the sunUnfailing FatherWhat compares to His great love

Behold His holy SonThe Lion and the Lamb given to usThe Word became a manThat my soul should know its Saviour

Forsaken for the sake of all mankindSalvation is in His bloodJesus MessiahThe righteous died for love

It wasn’t overFor He is the risen one

As we make our way through this season of spring, let us be reminded of the incredible transformation that can take place when we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ. Just as the world around us is bursting forth with new life, may our hearts be filled with the joy and peace that comes from knowing Him.
