Pilots often suffer from vertigo when they cannot see the horizon.

In such a situation, every pilot must decide whether to trust his senses or the information from his instrument panel.

The same is true in life.

We live in a culture that calls things once regarded as good evil, and things that were once regarded evil good. We have lost sight of our true horizon, which is God’s purpose and plan for His creation.

The result is a dizzying case of cultural vertigo.

What instrument gauge is available to stabilize and prevent disaster in this confusion? God’s Word, the Bible.

And just as pilots have to choose between subjective experience and objective truth, we must also choose.

So make sure you consult the objective truth of God’s Word whenever society spins around you. It will keep you stable and focused on our true horizon.
